A double-headed steak hammer or meat mallet. This meat hammer will help to make even the toughest of meats more tender. You can pound your steaks with the riough side which will help break down the fibres. If you don't have time to marinate your steak this is fine. You can also flatten the steak out with the smooth side. If you marinate your steak a good idea is to use the rough side of the hammer first. Pound the steak and then cover your steak with marinade and leave for at least an hour or preferably overnight. Remove from the marinade and cook and it will be delicious! A great marinade to use is made by combining a tablespoon of each of the following: Worcester sauce, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar plus a crushed garlic clove. |
