This jam thermometer has easy to read numbers and an adjustable pan clip. Especially for those who make their own jam it measures up to 200C / 400F.
It is also useful for deep fat frying and there is a handy chart on the back of the packet which gives oil temperature guides for frying chicken, french fries, dougnuts, fritters, oysters,scallops, onions and aubergine - so you can't go wrong!
As well as jam and oil the thermometer is ideal for all kinds of sugars e.g syrup, caramel, marshmallow, fudge, butterscotch and barley sugar.
The thermometer should be allowed to cool down slowly and should, of course,be handwashed.
