3 piece child's cutlery set in traditional Old English design with pistol grip handle. This set is silver plated and has been made in England by Sheffield craftesmen. The knife has a hollow handle in the traditonal "pistol" shape. It feels good to hold in the hand. The knife blade is stainless steel and has no serration but has been whetted so as to be a normal cutting blade.
The fork on has the "pip" design on the front of the handle whilst the spoon has this "pip" design on the reverse. This is a traditional feature of Old English design and harks back to the days when a table used to be laid with the spoon bowl facing the table. Both fork and spoon are stamped with the Sheffield EPNS A1 stamp. The children's cutlery set is presented in a silky lined case and would make a beautiful Christening or Birthday present for a special child. It will be treasured for years to come. Please note that, as with all silver plated items, we recommend hand washing and the occasional use of silver polish.
