20cm Round Red Cast Iron Skillet / Fry Pan This skillet is excellent value for money and compares very favourably to similar product which are double or even treble the price. It is made of cast iron and is enamelled on the outside in red with a black interior. The handle is also made of red enamelled cast iron. It is 16cm long and is in one piece with the frying pan / skillet. Cast iron is a wonderful conductor of heat. It will heat up quickly, retain the heat and distribute heat evenly. Easy to clean using washing up liquid and a nylon brush, cast iron will eventually, over time, build up its own natural non stick surface . You can use on any heat source, including induction, (take care not to drag acrossand so scratch ceramic hob surface as cast iron is heavy ).
