1.5 litre Cast Iron Casserole enamelled in red.

This casserole is 18cm in diameter making it an ideal size for two. It is heavy duty and of excellent design and quality.  There is a lid with a screw in knob also in enamelled cast iron and handles to match. The casserole is very stylish so that you can use it to serve from as well as to cook.

It is suitable for all kinds of hob and oven including induction ( take care not to scratch ceramic hobs as the casserole is heavy)   This means that food can be fried in the casserole, stock can be added and then food can be cooked in the oven prior to serving at the table.  You can use the same dish for all three operations.

Cast iron is a wonderful conductor of heat and will  gradually build its own non stick surface once proved. Full and simple instructions about how to do this are included. It is easily cleaned using washing up liquid and a nylon brush.
